Junior Muay Thai The junior session suits children from 7 to 13 years-old, and all levels from novices to advanced. The class is split between two instructors and up to two assistant instructors, providing tailored coaching to small groups . Emphasis is on having fun developing fitness and Thai boxing technique at the same time.
We recommend getting your own gloves if you are going to be training regularly. However, you can borrow some from the club initially to get you going. It is also recommended to buy some basic sparring equipment (mouth guard and shin pads) if you are wishing to take part in sparring practice. You can buy the required equipment from us, or feel free to find your own retailer. ThaiFit Circuit Training Thai Fit training sessions offer a unique blend of circuit training and dynamic Thai boxing technique. If you’re fed up with your regular gym sessions then give Thai Fit a try! The circuits include callisthenic exercises, plyometrics, free weights, medicine balls, skipping ropes etc, but also Thai boxing pad work – you get to hit the pads WITHOUT being hit back! It provides a great stress busting work out, and you’ll learn some pretty handy kick, punch, elbow and knee techniques along the way. Circuits have green, yellow and red exercise variations for beginner to advanced levels respectively. Circuits are regularly changed to keep you motivated, and with three instructors in attendance at each session, you’ll get all the attention you need. Thai Fit sessions suit all fitness and technical ability levels, so feel free to turn up wearing something loose and comfortable and join in. Each station in the circuit is worked for one-minute before you move on. You work as hard as you want to in each minute – novices can take it easy, and the super fit can really push themselves – YOU are in control. Adult Muay Thai Beginners Class The Beginners Class is ideal for starting out as it steadily builds not only Thai boxing technique, but also fitness. That being said, you are free to join in the intermediate and advanced classes if you wish which are also suitable – but are faster paced. All you need to join this session is comfortable, loose fitting clothing (e.g. t-shirt and shorts), a towel and some drinking water. If you have bag gloves and a skipping rope, bring those along too. We recommend getting your own bag gloves and skipping rope if you are going to be training regularly. However, you can borrow some from the club initially to get you going. Adult Muay Thai Mixed Class The Mixed Class is suitable for all ability levels and provides a daytime Thai boxing training for parents after the school run or shift workers unable to make the evening classes. All you need to join this session is comfortable, loose fitting clothing (e.g. t-shirt and shorts), a towel and some drinking water. If you have bag gloves and a skipping rope, bring those along too. Adult Muay Thai Intermediate & Advanced Class The intermediate and advanced class suits those already with a grasp of the basics and focuses on sharpening technique and building fight fitness. Training is normally conducted in pairs, and although it’s nice to come with a training partner, most come along and “partner up” in the session. Everyone is friendly and there are many different levels of competence in the classes.
